To connect both an answering machine and a telephone:

1 Connect your answering machine to your MFP.

2 Plug your external telephone’s cord into the telephone jack

on your answering machine.

Important: You must have the TAD mode feature turned

on for an answering machine to work with your MFP.

See “Setting the Answering Mode.”

Connecting to Your Computer

1 Make sure that the computer is turned off and the

OKIOFFICE is unplugged.

2 Connect the end of the interface cable to your computer.

Tighten the screws to secure it.

3 Connect the other end of the cable to the OKIOFFICE.

Fasten the cable in place with the wire clips.

Connecting Power

1 Plug the power cord into the back of the unit.

2 Plug the other end into a grounded AC power outlet.

3 Turn on the power switch.
